NICU Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Travel Contract
- Reno, Nevada (NOT a compact state)
- Gross Weekly Pay: Up to $3,175/week (includes stipends)
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Schedule: 36 Hours per Week / Night shift
We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week night shift travel assignment in Reno, Nevada. This opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled neonatal nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional care to critically ill and premature newborns.
The NICU RN will work closely with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide specialized neonatal care while supporting families through every stage of treatment and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal patients in the NICU setting.
- Monitor and assess critically ill or premature infants.
- Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as ordered.
- Operate and monitor specialized NICU equipment including ventilators and incubators.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Accurately document patient care and clinical observations.
- Educate and support parents and family members throughout hospitalization.
- Respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations.
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Nevada license required).
- Minimum of 2 years recent NICU experience preferred.
- Current BLS certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- PALS preferred at some facilities.
- STABLE certification preferred or may be required by facility.
- Experience with ventilated neonatal patients preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
- Previous travel experience preferred but not required.
