Contract Highlights:
- Location: Houma, Louisiana.
- Duration: 13 Weeks.
- Schedule: Night Shift; Rotating 3x12/wk and 4x12/wk every other week.
- Compensation: Starting at $1995/week to $2661/week depending on hours.

About the Opportunity:
Geaux Care Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry for a premier travel assignment in Houma. This opportunity is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and is confident managing complex patient populations requiring continuous monitoring.
We are looking for a clinician who brings strong clinical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct patient care to telemetry and PCU patients with varying levels of acuity.
- Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Accurately document all patient care in the Epic Systems (EPIC) system.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of recent Telemetry / PCU experience required.
- Strong cardiac monitoring and critical thinking skills.
- EPIC experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
- Active RN license (Louisiana or compact state).
