Assignment Details:
- Duration: 13 weeks.
- Weekly Pay Package: $2,052 (gross, includes tax-free stipends).
- Unit: PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit).
- Travel Requirement: Must live 50+ miles from the facility.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is ideal for a clinician skilled in post-anesthesia recovery who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia following surgical procedures.
- Assess airway, vital signs, and level of consciousness.
- Manage pain, nausea, and other post-operative complications.
- Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered.
- Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams.
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition.
- Provide patient and family education for post-op recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific or compact).
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-acuity setting.
